Govt appoints civil surgeons in 41 districts

The government has appointed civil surgeons in 41 districts of the country.

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare issued two separate notifications, signed by Deputy Secretary Sanjida Sharmin, in this regard on Sunday (2 March). 

The ministry, in the notifications, ordered "the transferred/promoted officers" to join their new workplace by 9 March.

"Otherwise, they will be considered immediately relieved from their current workplace from next Sunday," the notifications add.

On Sunday, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare made 29 civil surgeons OSD.

The directive was issued by the ministry's Health Services Division, with Deputy Secretary Sanjida Sharmin signing the order.

As per the notification, the transferred or reassigned officials must join their new workplaces by 6 March. Otherwise, they will be considered released from their current postings effective from 9 March.
