Dr Mohammad Robed Amin, professor of medicine at Dhaka Medical College, has been made acting director general at the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

A notification regarding this matter was issued today (18 August).

Prior to this announcement, he was serving as the line director at the Non-Communicable Disease Control (NCDC) division within the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Earlier in the day, the government terminated the contractual appointment of Prof Abul Bashar Mohammad Khurshid Alam as the director general of the health directorate.
