ACC sends letters to banks seeking info about Shahed’s accounts
The banks are Bank Asia, Dutch-Bangla Bank, Padma Bank and NRB Bank

The Anti-Corruption Commission on Thursday sent letters to some banks seeking information about accounts of the Regent Hospital owner Md Shahed alias Shahed Karim.
The banks are Bank Asia, Dutch-Bangla Bank, Padma Bank and NRB Bank.
ACC Deputy Director Abu Bakar Siddique sent those letters on behalf of the anti-graft commission on Thursday.
On Tuesday, a team of Rapid Action Battalion's intelligence wing arrested Shahed from Satkhira's Debhata upazila near the border with India.
Shahed was on the run since July 6 when a Rab team conducted drives at two branches of his Regent Hospital in Uttara and Mirpur over allegations of providing fake reports on Covid-19.
