Two more dengue patients died while 934 were admitted to different hospitals in the country in the past 24 hours till this morning.

During the period, 61 dengue patients were hospitalised in Barishal division, 119 in Chattogram, 207 in Dhaka division, 182 in Dhaka North city while 132 in Dhaka South, 126 in Khulna, 49 in Rajshahi, 41 in Mymensingh, one in Sylhet and 16 were admitted to different hospitals in Rangpur division, said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

This year, the total number of cases rose to 87,725 while 461 deaths from dengue disease were reported during the period, the statement added.

Of the total death, 51 percent is female patient while 49 percent is male.

Last year, the country recorded 1,705 dengue-related deaths and a total of 3,21,179 dengue cases.
