2 more children die with measles-like symptoms in Sylhet
Hospital Deputy Director Dr Mahbubur Rahman said one child died around 6pm yesterday (7 May), while the other passed away an hour later at 7pm.
Two more children have died while undergoing treatment with measles-like symptoms at Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital.
One of the deceased was an eight-month-old child from Sylhet city, while the other was a six-month-old infant from Shantiganj upazila in Sunamganj.

With the latest fatalities, the number of children who have died from measles and symptoms consistent with the disease in the Sylhet division has risen to 22.
Sources at the Sylhet Divisional Office of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) stated that, as of Thursday morning, 233 patients exhibiting symptoms of measles or similar illnesses had been admitted to various hospitals across the division.
In the last 24 hours, eight new measles cases were confirmed through laboratory tests, while an additional six patients were admitted to hospitals with symptoms of measles during the same period.
Earlier on Wednesday, another child died in Sylhet after showing measles symptoms, further intensifying concerns over the growing outbreak of the disease in the division.
