HC seeks info on measures taken for prison security
The High Court (HC) has asked the home secretary and the inspector general of prisons about steps taken to ensure security at prisons across the country.
The court asked them to submit their report by October 15.
The HC bench of Justice Sheikh Hassan Arif and Justice Mohammad Badruzzaman passed the order on Wednesday when a probe report on the death of lawyer Palash Kumar Roy in Panchagarh prison was submitted.
