Hasina gave late husband's property to Joy and Putul, yet they got Rajuk plots with false information: Witness testimony
The court set 15 October for the next hearing

Nine more witnesses testified on the fifth day of hearings in the corruption cases over Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (Rajuk) plot allocations against former prime minister Sheikh Hasina, her son Sajeeb Wazed Joy, daughter Saima Wazed Putul, and others.
According to the testimonies, Sheikh Hasina inherited property from her late husband, MA Wazed Miah, and later gave those to her children, Sajeeb Wazed Joy and Saima Wazed Putul. Despite owning such property in Dhaka, Hasina and her family allegedly provided false information claiming they had no property in the city to obtain Rajuk plots, said witnesses as confirmed by ACC prosecutor Khan Md Mainul Hasan Lipon.
The testimonies were recorded at the Dhaka Fifth Special Judge's Court of Judge Md Abdullah Al Mamun today (30 September). As the accused remain absconding, cross-examination was not possible.
The court set 15 October for the next hearing.
The witnesses included: Md Ujjal Hossain (motor cleaner, Chief Adviser's Office), Zahidur Rahman (sub-registrar, Kaliganj, Gazipur), Mahbubur Rahman (sub-registrar, record room, Gazipur Sadar), M Mezbahur Rahman (former metropolitan magistrate, Dhaka), Tayeba Rahim (senior assistant cum accounts officer, Dhaka South City Corporation), Kamrunnahar (typist, Ministry of Housing and Public Works), Sefatullah (Dhaka metropolitan magistrate), Md Rafiqul Islam (administrative officer, Ministry of Housing and Public Works), and Mukti Tarafdar (computer operator, Ministry of Housing and Public Works).
Earlier, on 31 July, the same court framed charges in the cases and ordered the trials to begin.
Since the accused were absconding, arrest warrants were issued for them.
In three cases, 12 people including Hasina, 17 including Joy and 18 including Putul have been indicted, respectively.
On 20 July, the Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge Court ordered that six cases – three each – be sent for trial to Special Judge Court-4 and Special Judge Court-5.
Other accused in the cases include Sheikh Rehana, her daughters Tulip Siddiq and Azmina Siddiq Ruponti, son Radwan Mujib Siddiq Bobby, former housing and public works ministry secretary Shahid Ullah Khandaker, former Rajuk chairman Anisur Rahman Miah, former state minister Sharif Ahmed, and the prime minister's former principal secretary Salauddin.
The ACC filed six separate cases in January over allegations of corruption in plot allocations.
