Govt to reform CHT district councils with competent people: Supradip
The government would work for implementation of the new hope and aspiration generated in the public mind through anti-discrimination student movement, Adviser to Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) affairs Supradip Chakma said today.
Chittagong Hill Tracts Zila Parishad will be reformed and reconstituted comprising the neutral, honest and competent people, he said at a discussion with representatives of the anti-discrimination student movement at the conference room of the DC office.
Joint Secretary of CHT ministry Konkon Chakma, Deputy Commissioner of Rangamati Mohammad Mosaraf Hossain Khan, Rangamati Police Super Mir Abu Towhid and Rangamati Zone Commander Lt Col Ershad and leaders of the anti- discrimination student movement were present, among others.
