Govt forms 17-member committee to re-evaluate Press Accreditation Policy 2022
The committee will be chaired by Md Sarwar Alam, press secretary to the president
A 17-member committee has been formed over the re-evaluation of the Press Accreditation Policy 2022.
The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting issued a notification regarding the formation of the committee on Thursday.
The committee will be chaired by Md Sarwar Alam, press secretary to the president, with Mohammad Kamruzzaman Bhuiyan, deputy chief information officer of the Department of Information, serving as the member secretary, and Md Ataur Rahman Khan NDC, additional secretary of the Public Security Division, as convener.

The committee will reevaluate the Press Accreditation Policy-2022, propose necessary additions, amendments, and refinements, and submit its report to the Secretary of the Ministry, the notification added.

-Abul Kalam Azad Mazumder, deputy press secretary, Office of the Chief Adviser
-Fayez Ahmed, senior assistant press secretary, Office of the Chief Adviser
-Md Obaidur Rahman Shaheen, acting president, BFUJ
-Md Shahidul Islam, president, DUJ
-Abu Saleh Akon, president, Dhaka Reporters' Unity
-Daulat Akhtar Mala, president, Economic Reporters' Forum
-Elias Hossain, trustee, Broadcast Journalists Centre
-Shikdar Abir Mahmud (Sam) Jahan, founding convener, Bangladeshi Journalists in International Media (BJAIM)
-Md Mustafizur Rahman, member, DCAB and BSRF
-Saleem Samad, Bangladesh correspondent, Reporters Without Borders (RSF)
-Indrajit Kumar Ghosh, president, Bangladesh Photojournalist Association
The committee will submit the report to the Information and Broadcasting secretary by February 10.
