Govt asks citizens to share July Uprising photos, videos for memorial museum
Submissions must include the date, time, and location of the photo or video

The government has called on citizens to contribute photos and videos capturing the spirit and sacrifice of the July Uprising for inclusion in the July Uprising Memorial Museum, previously known as Ganobhaban, the prime minister's residence.
In a post shared today (1 June) from the official Facebook handle of Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus, citizens were called upon to send images and footage from their mobile phones that depict moments from the movement, scenes of sacrifice, "brutality of the fascist regime, and the historic victory of 5 August".
"These visuals — capturing the courage, struggle, and triumph of the people — will inspire generations to come," the post read.
Contributors are requested to email their materials to julyjadughor@gmail.com.
Submissions must include the date, time, and location of the photo or video, it added.
On 5 September last year, the interim government decided to turn Ganobhaban, the official residence of the prime minister of Bangladesh, into the July Uprising Memorial Museum.
