Govt appoints new secretaries to commerce ministry, Cabinet Division
Trade and Tariff Commission gets new chairman
The government has appointed new secretaries to the Ministry of Commerce and the Cabinet Division, while also naming a new chairman of the Trade and Tariff Commission.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued separate notifications yesterday (25 May), promoting three additional secretaries to the rank of secretary and posting them to the new positions.
Mymensingh Divisional Commissioner Farah Shammi has been promoted to secretary and appointed secretary (Coordination and Reforms) of the Cabinet Division.
Additional Secretary of the Home Ministry Md Ataur Rahman Khan has been promoted to secretary and appointed commerce secretary.
Meanwhile, Agriculture Ministry Additional Secretary Nasir-Ud-Doula has been promoted to secretary and appointed chairman of the Trade and Tariff Commission, a post carrying the rank of secretary.
In a separate notification, ICT Division Secretary Kazi Anwar Hossain has been withdrawn from his post and attached to the Ministry of Public Administration.
