Five armed bandits arrested by Bangladesh Coast Guard in Bhola

Acting on confidential intelligence, the Bangladesh Coast Guard carried out a successful special operation in the Char Mozammel area under Tajumuddin Upazila of Bhola in the early hours of Thursday.
The operation, conducted by Coast Guard Base Bhola at approximately 12:30 am, led to the arrest of five active members of the notorious criminal group 'Salauddin Bahini'. During the raid, Coast Guard personnel recovered seven locally manufactured firearms, four rounds of ammunition, and four rocket flares from the suspects.
Lieutenant Commander Siam-ul-Haq, the Bangladesh Coast Guard's media officer, confirmed the arrests and stated that the detained individuals and recovered weapons and ammunition have been handed over to Tajumuddin Model Police Station for further legal proceedings.
He further noted that the Coast Guard continues to conduct round-the-clock patrols to uphold law and order in coastal and riverine areas. As a result, the security situation in regions under Coast Guard jurisdiction has significantly improved. Similar operations will be sustained to maintain peace and ensure public safety.
