Fire guts jhut warehouse, two other establishments in Narayanganj

A fire broke out at three establishments, including a jhut (garment waste) warehouse, in the Dhakeshwari area of Narayanganj's Siddhirganj today (18 April).
The blaze damaged a jhut warehouse, a decorator's shop, and a wastage drum storage facility.
Upon receiving an alert around 5pm, two units from the Adamjee EPZ fire station rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control after nearly an hour of effort, said Ashiqur Rahman, warehouse inspector at the fire station.
According to locals and eyewitnesses, the fire originated at the decorator's shop and soon spread to the jhut and wastage drum warehouses.
The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage have not yet been determined.
