Fire breaks out at Patharghata Sweeper Colony in Chattogram

The blaze started around 8:00pm. Two units from the Nandankanan Fire Station rushed to the scene to bring it under control

A fire broke out on Tuesday evening (November 26) at Patharghata Sweeper Colony, located behind Rangam Convention Hall in the Laldighi area of Chattogram city.

The blaze started around 8 pm, prompting two units from the Nandankanan Fire Station to rush to the scene to bring it under control.

Confirming the incident, Senior Station Officer Md Ali of the Nandankanan Fire Station said, "We received information about a fire near the court building. Two of our units are currently working to contain the fire. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined."

No immediate details about the extent of the damage or casualties were available at the time of reporting, he added.
