Fakhrul discusses Khaleda’s release with Quader
Quader said neither BNP nor Khaleda Zia’s family have formally applied for her release

Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, BNP secretary general, has spoken to Obaidul Quader, Awami League secretary general, about releasing BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia. Fakhrul has also asked Quader to inform the Prime Minister of this matter, Somoy TV reported.
Quader stated this at a press briefing on Friday morning at Awami League's Dhanmondi office.
Quader added, "Neither BNP nor Khaleda Zia's family have formally applied for her release. The government cannot do much about this since it is a corruption case – it falls under the court's jurisdiction."
"However, they can always apply for her release on parole with the Ministry of Home Affairs," he added.
