Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today (21 March) forecasted rain likely to occur at one or two places over the eight divisions for the next 24 hours begins from this morning.
"Rain or thundershowers or lightning flashes accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions with hails at isolated places," said the forecast which begins from 9am.
Trough of low lies over the West Bengal and adjoining area. Seasonal low lies over the South Bay.
Day temperature may fall by 1-2 degree Celsius and night temperature may fall slightly over the country.
Country's maximum temperature yesterday (20 March) was recorded 35 degree Celsius at Rangamati district and today's minimum temperature 17 degree Celsius was recorded at Tetulia upazila in Panchagarh district.
The sun sets at 6:10pm today and rises at 6:01am tomorrow (22 March) in the capital.
