An earthquake measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale shook Dhaka and several parts of the country this morning (5 March).
According to the Meteorological Department's Earthquake Monitoring and Research Center, the tremor was felt at 11:36am.
The epicenter was located in the India-Myanmar border region, approximately 449 kilometers from Dhaka's BMD Seismic Center in Agargaon.
The depth of the earthquake was measured at 10 kilometers.
The earthquake was of moderate intensity.
