Vessel carrying 69,000 tonnes LNG from Angola arrives at Maheshkhali
Another vessel, Huelva Knutsen, carrying around 60,000 tonnes of LNG from Nigeria, is scheduled to arrive in Maheshkhali on 22 April.
A Panama-flagged vessel named Lobito, carrying 69,000 tonnes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Angola, arrived at the floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) in Cox's Bazar's Maheshkhali this afternoon (17 April).
Nurul Alam, deputy general manager of Uniglobal, the vessel's local shipping agent, told The Business Standard that berthing will be completed tomorrow (18 April), after which unloading of the cargo will begin.
He further said that another vessel, Huelva Knutsen, carrying around 60,000 tonnes of LNG from Nigeria, is scheduled to arrive in Maheshkhali on 22 April.
Earlier, a Greek-flagged vessel, Maran Gas Hydra, carrying 64,678 tonnes of LNG from Australia, berthed at the Maheshkhali FSRU yesterday afternoon (16 April).
Prior to that, two LNG carriers, each carrying 69,000 tonnes from the United States, had docked in Maheshkhali last week.
