A seminar titled 'Summer Meeting for International Students' was held at Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics (JUFE) at Nanchang in China on Monday.

The seminar was arranged to understand the study and life status of summer students, listen to their opinions and suggestions, and better serve the summer students.

The seminar was held in the meeting room of the university's international student apartment complex.

The programme was arranged by the School of International Trade and Economics (SITE) of the university.

Professor Wu Zhaoyang, Dean of the School of International Trade and Economics was the chief guest and professor Xianming Huang, Vice Dean of the School of International Trade and Economics was the special guest in this programme.

Faculty members of the School of International Trade and Economics and a total of 39 international students of JUFE participated in the seminar.

At the beginning of the seminar, Dean Prof. Wu Zhaoyang conveyed the care and greetings to international students on behalf of the School of International Trade and Economics. He repeatedly emphasised the safety of international students during the summer and the precautions during the coronavirus epidemic.

Professor Wu Zhaoyang put forward five hopes to international students. Firstly, to ensure safety; second, to study hard; thirdly, to be civilised and self-cultivating, fourth; to improve quality, and finally; to love the school and promote the school.

He further said I hope everyone will strive to be the leader and actively contribute ideas to promote the development of the school.

During the seminar, conducting on-site questions and interactions on International student's study schedules and learning situations. International students also spoke enthusiastically about their studies, living conditions, difficulties, and problems encountered in the epidemic situation in the university.

Regarding the question of the international student about online teaching in the next semester, Vice Dean Prof. Xianming Huang said that everything still needs to be done in accordance with the school's arrangements on the premise of preventing and controlling the epidemic situation of international students.

Note that, the University carried out multi-channel online teaching to ensure the quality of teaching during the epidemic. International students were able to be highly conscious, strictly self-disciplined, and completed high-quality courses in various subjects, which made the university rest assured.
