North South University continues waiver for spring 2021

The authority of North South University (NSU) has decided to continue its waiver for spring 2021 semester considering the adverse effects of Covid-19 pandemic.
The university waived a significant amount of fees weaver in the summer and fall semesters in 2020, said a press release on Monday.
All students' activity fees, including library fee, computer lab fee, and other fees, have been waived. In addition to this, 10 percent of the tuition fees would be waived.
The total waiver of the fees would amount approximately to 20 percent for spring 2021.
NSU is one of the esteemed private universities in the country. The university took part in different charitable activities during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Around 1300 children of the freedom fighters of 1971 have been given the opportunity to study at NSU without any fees. A special scholarship has been given to university students who lost their parents during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Since the establishment of this university, it has provided financial assistance of Tk 150crore taka to the students. Approximately Tk 18crore taka has been provided as a scholarship to meritorious and needy students over the last year.
NSU staff members have donated two days of their salary amounting to Tk 50 lakh taka to the relief fund of the Prime Minister.
The university has also distributed 11,000 bags of relief material through the Bangladesh Army and Police among the affected families during the pandemic.
