Five Bangladeshi students named world’s top scorers in IGCSE mathematics
Of the 200 students of Glenrich International School who sat for the exams, 41 scored an aggregate of 90% or above

Five Bangladeshi students from Glenrich International School, Uttara, have been named world's top scorers after achieving a perfect 100% in mathematics in this year's IGCSE examinations.
This marks the highest number of world toppers in Mathematics from a single batch in the school's history, reads a press release.
The achievers are Md Faiyaz Siddiquee, Awhona Saha, Mohammad Mohaimin Uddin Naib, Bushra Rubana Afroze, and Shombrito Aumbar.
Among them, Faiyaz and Awhona also secured the positions of school toppers with overall scores of 96% and 95.6% respectively. Awhona further distinguished herself by earning the prestigious Cambridge ICE Award with distinction.
The batch's overall performance was equally impressive. Of the 200 students who sat for the exams, 41 scored an aggregate of 90% or above, while 99 — nearly half of the examinees — scored 80% or higher. The school recorded an overall average of 80.3%, reflecting steady improvement year after year. In addition, 64 students (32% of the class) qualified for the Daily Star Award.
Principal Amlan K Saha expressed pride in the students' accomplishments, stating, "These results are not just numbers; they reflect the success of our comprehensive and outstanding learning programme.
