EMK Center held online session on studying medicine in USA

EducationUSA at the EMK Center held its first-ever discussion on medical education opportunities in the United States for Bangladeshi students.  

The session provided participants with a detailed overview of the application process, including tips and suggestions on how to successfully submit applications, said a press release. 

Over 80 Bangladeshi doctors, health professionals, medical students, and residents got the opportunity to hear from a diverse panel of medical professionals from both the United States and Bangladesh.

The panel comprised four personnel who had previous experiences of studying medicine in the USA. 

Nabila Noor, MD, a physician from the US Lehigh Valley Health Network, provided helpful information about the US medical education process beginning at the undergraduate level. Dr. Md Mohibur Hossain Nirob, Resident, Department of Oncology, BSMMU, provided what sorts of degrees their community is seeking to earn from the United States.

Later Dr. Rifat Ara Adity, Former Medical officer, Dhaka Medical College Hospital, took the floor and shared her study experience in Northern Arizona University on M.Sc in physiology and Medicine.  

The discussion also included insights from Nusrat Feroz Aman, President of American Alumni Association (a Bangladeshi US college and university alumni community) who provided information on standardized testing for medical school programs and how to plan for further career prospects in this field. 

Education USA adviser Razoun Siddiky Tohin moderated the session and informed the participants about the EducationUSA services.
