Abrar murder: Agitation enters into 5th day at Buet

The agitation at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (Buet) triggered by the brutal murder of Abrar Fahad entered into fifth day today.
On Friday afternoon, the protesters blocked Palashi-Bakshibazar road to press home to meet their 10-point demand including arrest and capital punishment to the killers of Abrar, expulsion of the accused students from Buet permanently and ban of student politics on Buet campus.
The students started gathering at the Buet's Shaheed Minar from 11am. Later they brought out a procession from there and ended after parading different roads on the campus.

Tithi, spokeperson of the movement, told The business standard that they would wait till 5pm today.
"If the authorities of Buet do not meet our demands within the deadline, we will announce next step of the movement in the evening," she said.
Abrar, 22, a second-year student of Buet's electrical and electronics engineering department, was beaten to death allegedly by a group of Chhatra League men in Sher-E-Bangla Hall on Monday over his alleged affiliation with Chhatra Shibir.
