EC registers two new political parties ahead of upcoming polls
The Bangladesh Nizam-e-Islam Party has been allotted the electoral symbol “Book”, and the Bangladesh Somo Adhikar Party has been given the symbol “Pen and Inkpot”.
The Election Commission (EC) has granted registration to two new political parties, Bangladesh Nizam-e-Islam Party and Bangladesh Somo Odhikar Party, ahead of the upcoming national election.
According to information published on the EC's official website on Sunday (28 December), the Bangladesh Nizam-e-Islam Party has been registered as a new political party with registration number 63. The party has been allotted the electoral symbol "Book".
Sarwar Kamal Azizi is the president of the party, while Musa bin Izhar serves as its secretary general.
Meanwhile, the Election Commission has also registered the Bangladesh Somo Adhikar Party as a new political party. The party has been allotted the electoral symbol 'Pen and Inkpot'.
Sushanta Chandra Barman is the chairman of Bangladesh Somo Odhikar Party, while Nasir Uddin Shikder is its secretary general.
