Ducsu polls: DU restricts public entry 8-10 Sept
Access points, including Shahbagh, Polashi, Doel Chattar, Shibbari Crossing, Fuller Road, Udayan School, and Nilkhet, will remain closed to the general public during this period.

Dhaka University will restrict all campus entrances to the general public from 8pm on 8 September until 6am on 10 September, ahead of the Dhaka University Central Students' Union (Ducsu) and hall council elections.
The announcement was made today (4 September) in a press release issued by the office of the university's proctor.
Access points, including Shahbagh, Polashi, Doel Chattar, Shibbari Crossing, Fuller Road, Udayan School, and Nilkhet, will remain closed to the general public during this period.
Students, teachers, officers, and staff with valid ID cards will be allowed entry. Family members of faculty, officers, and staff will also be allowed entry upon presenting a photocopy of the relevant family ID.
Only DU-registered vehicles and emergency service vehicles – including ambulances, medical staff vehicles, police vehicles, journalist vehicles, and fire service vehicles – will be permitted on campus.
Everyone must carry proper identification during the restricted period. Family members of teachers, officers, or staff who are not students or university employees will need to obtain a security pass from the proctor's office for campus entry.
