The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court today (24 September) sent Rafat Mozumder Rinku, a dramatist and Dhaka City (North) Chhatra League's former vice-president, to jail in connection with Naimur Rahman murder case.

Sub-Inspector Raju Ahmed of Gulshan Police Station, also the investigation officer of the case, produced Rinku before the court of Metropolitan Magistrate Md Sanaullah and prayed for detaining him into jail.

The lawyer of the accused prayed for granting bail to Rinku while the prosecution side opposed the bail petition. The magistrate, after hearing both the sides, ordered to send him to jail.
