A draft list of genuine freedom fighters will be published on 26 March this year, said Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque on Sunday.

The minister was speaking as chief guest at the inaugural ceremony of a mobile museum bus at the Shikha Chironton (eternal flame) area of the capital's Suhrawardy Udyan.

"If there is any allegation against anyone in the draft list, the allegation will first be investigated before they are included in the final list," the minister said.

Haque also said that a list of "razakars' will be published by 16 December of the year.

"A law has been framed so that the Jatiya Muktijoddha Council can publish the list. As soon as the law is passed in the cabinet meeting, we will publish the list of razakars," the minister said.

"We have also formed a committee to investigate the involvement of Ziaur Rahman in the assassination of Bangabandhu within two months. After receiving the report of the committee, the Muktijoddha Council will decide whether Ziaur Rahman's gallantry award will be revoked," the minister continued.

About the mobile museum, Mozammel Haque said the museum bus has been launched to make sure that the new generation has easy access to the true history of the Liberation War.
