Nepal Ex-PM Sher Bahadur Deuba returns home amid ongoing money laundering probe
Sher Bahadur Deuba, Nepal's former prime minister and veteran Nepali Congress leader, has returned to Kathmandu after six months abroad for medical treatment. His return comes despite an arrest warrant linked to a money laundering investigation. Authorities have also issued a warrant for his wife, Arzu Rana Deuba. The case is connected to Nepal's September 2025 youth-led uprising and allegations involving cash allegedly found at Deuba-linked properties.
