Dr Fahmida Khatun appointed to UN Secretary-General’s expert panel
The appointment was made by UN Secretary-General António Guterres, CPD said in a press release today (10 December).
Executive Director of the Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD), Dr Fahmida Khatun, has been appointed to the United Nations Secretary-General's Independent Expert Advisory Panel on the Multidimensional Vulnerability Index (MVI).
The appointment was made by UN Secretary-General António Guterres, CPD said in a press release today (10 December).
A noted economist and policy analyst, Dr Fahmida has long worked on issues related to development challenges, economic resilience, and climate vulnerability. Her appointment is viewed as a recognition of both her expertise and Bangladesh's expanding role in global development discourse.
CPD also expressed its appreciation to media partners for their continued support of the organisation's initiatives.
