Don’t put pressure on the trial: ICT chief prosecutor
Ensuring the trial of crimes against humanity is a difficult process, Tajul says

Chief Prosecutor of the International Crimes Tribunal Mohammad Tajul Islam has called on all to not put pressure on the trials of crimes against humanity.
Speaking at a briefing at the tribunal today (5 March), he said, "Ensuring the trial of crimes against humanity is a difficult process. No one should put any extra pressure."
Earlier, former US Ambassador William B Mylam and diplomat John Danilowicz assured all kinds of cooperation in the trial process.
They visited the International Crimes Tribunal this morning on behalf of the US think tank Right to Freedom.
They also inquired about the current progress and overall progress of the trial of crimes against humanity.
Meanwhile, the chief prosecutor said they want to provide information and advisory cooperation so that the victims of the July genocide, crimes against humanity and the disappearances and murders of the last 15 years receive justice so that no one else can commit such crimes in the future.
Constable who shot a student in back in Gazipur to be questioned on 11 March
Meanwhile, the prosecution and investigation agency of the ICT has received permission to question police constable Akram Hossain for a day over the incident of shooting agitating college student Hridoy Hossain in the back with a rifle in Konabari, Gazipur on 5 August.
Akram Hossain, along with other accused in this case M Ashraf Uddin, (former OC Kapasia), Md Shafiqul Islam, (police inspector), Md Fahim Hasan (constable) and Md Mahmudul Hasan (constable) were produced before the tribunal today.
Following the prosecution's application, the tribunal has given permission to question Akram Hossain on 11 March, Tajul Islam told reporters.
"Through interrogation, we will know who gave the order to shoot him with a rifle, who was with him, where the body was taken or what was done to it, everything will be known," he said.
Constable Akram Hossain was present at the tribunal.
