The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has issued guidelines for vehicles plying near the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium as well as Mirpur-10 from 1pm to 10pm today (23 December), in order to ensure smooth traffic during the BPL T20 Music Fest.

The festival is being organised by the Bangladesh cricket board and will begin at 2pm today.

The guidelines were publicly announced yesterday, and signed off by DMP Commissioner Sheikh Md Sajjat Ali.

They asked all vehicles heading towards Mirpur- 1, 10, 11, 12, and 14 to instead use the road besides the Sony Cinema Hall and the Rainkhola-Proshika crossing.

Vehicles planning to cross Mirpur 10 from Mirpur 12 must use the Proshika crossing road.

Those who plan to travel to Mirpur 1 and 12 through Agargaon must take the left turn and go through the Shyamoli Shishu Mela-Technical crossing-Sony Cinema Hall crossing route.

The DMP has urged Dhaka residents to maintain traffic discipline in order to avoid congestion during the concert hours.
