Dense fog leads to accidents involving 8 vehicles on Dhaka-Chattogram Highway
No major casualties reported

Dense fog led to a series of accidents involving eight vehicles, including buses, trucks, and microbuses, on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway this morning (18 February).
The accidents occurred along a three-kilometre stretch from Zinglatoli to Amirabad Station in Daudkandi Upazila of Cumilla.
Witnesses reported that a bus lost control due to low visibility and veered off the road. Another accident involved a collision between a bus and a microbus, severely damaging the front part of the microbus and leaving several injured.
Local resident Ishaq Chowdhury described the conditions, saying, "In the early morning, the fog was so thick that nothing was visible on the highway.
"Vehicles collided one after another, leading to significant damage."
Daudkandi Highway Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Nurul Afsar confirmed that police responded to the scene with tow trucks to assist in the rescue operation.
"Traffic was slow due to the accidents, but as the fog cleared, the situation improved. We received reports of 15 people being injured, but upon arrival, we did not find any victims at the scene," he added.
