Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Tofazzal Hossain passed the order after Mainul Hosein appeared before the court following an earlier order.
Barrister Mainul was sued by several people after he made derogatory remarks against female journalist Masuda Vatti. He made the comment during a talk show on privately-run Ekattor television, triggering widespread criticism across the country.
