Cucsu polls: Shibir panel accuses CU admin of inaction, demands 'emergency response team'
He added that several complaints of code of conduct violations were filed with the administration, but no visible steps have been taken, raising doubts about its neutrality

The Islami Chhatra Shibir-backed panel Sampritir Shikkharthi Jote has accused the Chittagong University (CU) administration of inaction over what it says are false information, confusion, and cyberbullying ahead of the Chittagong University Central Students' Union (Cucsu) election.
The panel's general secretary candidate Saeed Bin Habib made the allegations this afternoon (13 October) at a press conference on the CU Shaheed Minar premises around 1:15pm.
Habib said misinformation, disinformation, and cyberbullying on social media have increased sharply as the election nears. "Fake posts and distorted information are being spread to harm candidates' images, but the administration has not taken any effective action," he said.
He added that several complaints of code of conduct violations were filed with the administration, but no visible steps have been taken, raising doubts about its neutrality.
Habib demanded an "emergency response team" on election day with both administrative and panel representatives to ensure quick and transparent complaint resolution.
He also urged the administration to create a supportive environment for visually impaired voters by setting up help desks, guidance systems, and braille facilities.
Panel members called on the CU administration to ensure a fair, neutral, and participatory Cucsu election.
