The MBA Association of Chittagong University successfully organised the "Leadership Catalyst Programme: Empowering Future Change-Makers," a groundbreaking initiative designed to foster professional growth, enhance leadership capabilities, and build lasting networks among students, club executives, and alumni.

The event was organised in Chattogram on Saturday, said a press release.

Mohammed Mayeen Uddin, organising secretary of the MBA Association, delivered a welcome speech, while ANM Wazed Ali, general manager of Abul Khair Group, general secretary of the MBA Association, and one of its founding members, along with other life members, were present at the event.

Asif Ahmed, procurement associate at UNDP, Md Rakibul Islam, head of people and culture at mPower Social Enterprises Ltd, Ahashanujjaman Shujan, head of people and culture at Synesis IT PLC, Md Abdus Samad Hemal, assistant vice-president at MetLife Bangladesh, and Arif Iftekhar, trade finance specialist at Euro Exim Bank, participated at a panel discussion in the event.

The panellists shared valuable insights on the ever-evolving demands of global and local job markets, emphasising the significance of strategic communication, networking, and adaptability as key competencies for career success.

"The biggest challenge between employees and employers is effective communication. Cultivating this skill from student life is crucial for a seamless transition into professional roles," said Mohammed Mayeen Uddin.

ANM Wazed Ali said, "In today's dynamic professional landscape, individuals must not only adapt but also excel in diverse cultural and organisational environments."

"The Leadership Catalyst Programme exemplifies our 30-year commitment to empowering future leaders and fostering a culture of excellence," he added.

Mustafa Tanzim Jawad and Shanzid Ahmed Shaon coordinated the event.

Founded in 1994, the MBA Association of the University of Chittagong is dedicated to bridging the gap between academic learning and professional readiness. Over the past 30 years, the association has fostered a vibrant community of students, alumni, and industry professionals, equipping its members to lead and thrive in an ever-changing global environment.
