Woman, teenager raped in Cox’s Bazar in separate incidents
A case has been filed in this connection and efforts are ongoing to identify and arrest the suspect

The wife of a policeman and a teenaged girl have allegedly been raped in separate incidents in Chakaria and Ramu upazilas of Cox's Bazar.
In Chakaria, the incident happened in Torosghat area around 3am on Monday, where the wife of a police constable was allegedly raped by a young burglar, said Chakaria police station OC Md Shafiqul Islam.
The youth had sharp weapons in his possession and also robbed two mobile phones and cash from the house.
A case has been filed in this connection and efforts are ongoing to identify and arrest the suspect, added the OC.
In Ramu upazila, a 14-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a village doctor in Eidgargh Bazar area on 13 July.
The accused is Selim Bahadur, from Shah Medico drugstore in Eidgarh Bazar, said Cox's Bazar District Police Medical Wing Officer, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP, Traffic) Md Jashim Uddin.
Police drives are ongoing to arrest the accused, said the ASP.
