The teenage girl's father was standing in front of the Department of Forensic Medicine of Mymensingh Medical College Hospital on Saturday afternoon. In his mid-40s, the man's eyes were giving off a stoic look as he waited for the medical report of his daughter's rape.

Unable to hold back his emotions any longer, the father burst into tears while speaking to The Business Standard, "I am just a day labourer. I have no enemies. Why did they ruin the life of my daughter?

"I just want justice for what happened to my daughter."

The victim was preparing to participate in the Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) examination that started this Saturday.

Three culprits abducted the JDC candidate, 14, on October 6 from in front of her home in Gafargaon upazila of Mymensingh, then gang raped her for 25 days at different locations in Mymensingh and Dhaka.

Her father filed a general diary at the Pagla police station shortly after his daughter's abduction. The abductors released the young girl on the road in front of the Dairgaon Dakhil Madrasa on Friday.

Confirming the matter, Officer-in-Charge of Pagla police station Shahinuzzaman Khan said, "We already completed the medical examination of the victim. We are now trying to track down the criminals.

"The victim's father filed a case against Biplob, 35, Sharful, 26, Wasir Khan, 28, for their alleged involvement in the abduction and rape on Friday night."
