The Police Headquarters today (6 October) released comparative crime statistics for August and September this year, showing an increase in cases of violence against women and children as well as abductions.
According to the report, 1,928 cases of violence against women and children were recorded in September, up from 1,904 in August - an increase of 24 cases.
Abduction cases also rose slightly, with 96 incidents reported in September compared to 90 in August.
Meanwhile, incidents of robbery and murder showed a decline over the same period, the data showed.
