2 suspected muggers beaten, hung upside down from overbridge by angry crowd in Uttara
Police sent the two men to hospital after finding them in critical condition

Two men, suspected to be muggers, were beaten and hung upside down from a foot overbridge in Uttara by an angry crowd this evening (25 February).
"The two men were allegedly caught red-handed by a group of people and beaten," Uttara East Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shamim Ahmed told reporters late at night.
The agitated crowd then hung both of them from the roof of the overbridge, he said.
"Upon receiving the information, the police rescued the duo and sent them to a nearby hospital. Both of them were found in a critical condition," OC Shamim added.
The two suspected muggers have been identified as Bokul, 40, Nazim, 35, said police.
Meanwhile, videos of the incident have gone viral on social media platforms.
One video shows the angry group of people hanging one of the suspected muggers, with his legs tied together, upside down on the overbridge, while some of them still beating him. Another video shows the man hanging upside down from the overbridge and the people hitting him.
