Woman mugged, stabbed to death in Keraniganj
A woman was mugged and stabbed to death in the Aganagar area of Keraniganj in the capital today (25 February).
The deceased has been identified as Seema Begum, 40, hailing from Barakandi area under the Sadar police station in Madaripur district.
Inspector Md Faruk, in charge of DMCH police outpost, said the victim was brought to the hospital with critical injuries and was later declared dead.

Her husband, Akhter Hossain, who rushed her to the hospital, said, "While returning home after picking up our daughter from the tutoring centre, some robbers attacked and stabbed my wife and took away Tk2,000 in her possession along with her earrings."
He added that his wife had multiple stab wounds on her head, hands, and other parts of her body.
The body has been kept in the hospital's morgue, and investigations are ongoing, said Inspector Faruk.
