Two suspected muggers beaten to death in Mohammadpur
The incidents occurred in the Nobinagar Housing area of Mohammadpur
Two suspected muggers were beaten to death and two others injured in separate incidents of mob beating in the capital's Mohammadpur area in the early hours today (10 September).
The deceased were identified as Hanif and Suzan, said Mohammadpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Kazi Rafiqul Islam.
The injured - Sharif and Juel - are undergoing treatment at Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital.

According to police, two men were severely beaten by a mob in the Nobinagar Housing area after allegedly attempting a mugging around 4am. Police rescued them and took them to Suhrawardy Hospital, where one was pronounced dead on arrival.
A few hours later, a similar incident occurred on Road-11 in the same area, where another suspected mugger was killed by a mob and another person was injured.
OC Kazi Rafiqul Islam said the bodies of the two men who died were sent to the Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
