Teenager killed by classmates after trivial quarrel
RAB on July 11, detained four, including prime accused Pappu, in connection with the murder of Shuvo.

It all began on July 6, when the group of ninth graders from Future Map School of Gazipur went on a study tour to University of Dhaka, National Library and National Museum at Shahbag.
The day went well, everybody enjoyed themselves.
But by the end of the day, a brief quarrel between two of the classmates, Shuvo (16) and Pappu (17), flared up, on their way back in the bus.
Pappu was sitting with his girlfriend and then suddenly Shuvo started to photograph them with his smartphone, and made fun of them by showing the pictures to other classmates.
Pappu did not take that easily. He immediately broke into a fistfight with Shuvo and caused a raucous.
Pappu is the leader of a teenage gang which included a few of his classmates. The next day, during the tiffin period when the whole class was having their meal and chatting, Pappu with his gang mates started planning revenge on Shuvo.
In the evening of the same day, Shuvo took money from his mother for a haircut and left the house at 9pm. After he got his haircut at a barber shop, everything happened very quickly.
Pappu called Shuvo and slyly led him to a quiet place where he was waiting with three of his cohorts- Sabbir (16), Riad (16), and Rony (16). Riad had already been nurturing animosity towards Shuvo for another girl-related issue from a long time back.
Shuvo was attacked almost immediately after he reached the spot with two Swiss army knives. He was stabbed and beaten by the four teenagers and at one point succumbed to his injuries and died.
Meanwhile, Shuvo's mother kept waiting for her only child till late night. Then after midnight at around 2am she learnt from the police over the phone that her son was dead.
Shuvo's body was found at BSCIC Industrial Area in Gazipur's Tongi. Shuvo's father Md Razu Miah, filed a murder case against Pappu and five to six other anonymous people with Tongi Police Station (East).
Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on July 11, detained four, including prime accused Pappu, in connection with the murder of Shuvo.
Lieutenant Colonel Sarwar-Bin-Kashem, Commanding Officer of RAB-1 said, "Pappu was detained from Pagar area of Tongi during a drive in the evening of July 11."
"Three others were also held from different areas of the capital based on Pappu's confession. RAB also confiscated the knives used in the murder."
