Some leaders of the Anti-discrimination Student Movement apprehended former Noakhali Chhatra League secretary Abul Hasnat Adnan in Banglamotor in the capital yesterday, then handed him over to the Detective Branch (DB) of police.

Adnan was reportedly attending a wedding when he was held by the student leaders at the Banglamotor Rupayaan Trade Center.

Upon receiving information that some BCL activist was apprehended there, our correspondents rushed to the scene.

Later, they found out that the students were quizzing Adnan and even checked his phone.

In the meantime, a scuffle broke out on the second floor of the building, in front of Waterfall Convention Center.

This correspondent was recording a video but was forced to delete those by the student leaders, including one Rabbi Patwary from Green University.

A team of DB's Gulshan division arrived there. The student leaders then barricaded the DB vehicle while the BCL leader was being taken to the Mintoo Road headquarters.
