A sub-inspector of police was attacked during an anti-narcotics raid in Dhaka's Mugda area yesterday evening (1 October), leading to the arrest of 10 individuals, including three women.
The injured officer, Md Rasel Mia, 32, currently posted at Mugda Police Station, is undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
The incident took place around 6:30pm in the Mugda slum area, police said. A team had gone there as part of regular anti-drug and anti-mugging drives.

"Following the attack, police launched an all-out drive and arrested 10 individuals," said Mugda Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sajedur Rahman.
"A case has been filed over the incident. We are preparing to produce the arrested before court," he added.
