Schoolboy hacked to death in Gazipur
The deceased was identified as Shuvo Ahmed, 15, son of Md Razu Miah of Fakir Market area.
A ninth-grader was hacked to death at BISIC Industrial Area in Gazipur’s Tongi early on Monday.
The deceased was identified as Shuvo Ahmed, 15, son of Md Razu Miah of Fakir Market area.
“Shuvo went out at 9pm on Sunday to get a haircut but did not return home. Miscreants stabbed him to death and fled,” said East Tongi Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Kamal Hossain.

On information, policed rushed to the spot and recovered a mobile phone.
At around 2am on Monday, police informed Shuvo’s mother of his death when she called the police station.
The body of the deceased was sent to Gazipur Sadar Hospital for autopsy, said OC Kamal.
He said several injury marks were found in the victim’s body and head.
“The family members said they had no idea why he was killed. We will file a case in this connection and we are also investigating into the matter,” added the police officer.
