A robber was beaten to death by locals during a robbery in Narayanganj.
The incident happened last night (30 September) when a gang of 10 to 12 robbers armed with homemade weapons entered the house of Elias Elias in Dari Bishnandi area of Bishnandi Union in Araihazar, confirmed Additional Superintendent of Narayanganj Police (Crime) Tarek Al Mehedi.
The deceased robber was identified as Nabi Hossain.

According to locals, when the family raised an alarm, the robbers attacked them. Elias's wife Kulsum, son Naeem, brother Abul and neighbour Faruk were injured.
The news of the robbery spread and locals gathered after announcements through the mosque loudspeaker. They surrounded the robbers, and an angry crowd beat Nabi Hossain to death on the spot. His accomplices fled.
The injured were taken to Araihazar Upazila Health Complex. Police later arrived, prepared a spot report of the deceased and sent the body to Narayanganj Victoria Hospital morgue for autopsy. Legal procedures are ongoing.
