Police recover dismembered body of missing businessman in Sabujbagh
The deceased has been identified as Zakir Hossain (55) and was a scrap dealer. Police have arrested a person known to Zakir by the name of Mohammad Azhar in connection with this incident

Police have recovered the dismembered body of a businessman who had been missing for a week in the capital's Sabujbagh area today (12 June).
However, the right hand of the dismembered body has not been recovered yet and is still missing, said Sabujbagh Police Station SI Shamsul Amin.
The deceased has been identified as Zakir Hossain (55) and was a scrap dealer. Police have arrested a person known to Zakir by the name of Mohammad Azhar in connection with this incident.
Based on the information provided by Azhar, Zakir's body parts were recovered and buried in a bushy area today.
SI Shamsul Amin said the businessman had been missing since 4 June. A kidnapping case was filed with the police station by his family. During the investigation, it was found that Azhar, an acquaintance of Zakir, had called him on the phone. He could not be found since then.
"We conducted raids in various areas and used technology to swiftly arrest Azahar from the capital, and later interrogated him. At one stage of the interrogation, he confessed to killing Zakir. Later, based on the information he gave, the body parts were recovered, buried in sand in a forest in the Baikdia area near Zakir's house."
Citing the interrogation of Azahar, SI Shamsul said, "Zakir was first hit on his head with an iron rod. When he fell down, he was hacked to death with a sharp weapon and various parts of his body were cut and separated from his body."
However, the police have not yet revealed the reason for their dispute or why he was killed.
In the inquest report of the deceased Zakir, the police wrote that Zakir's head, two hands and two legs were dismembered from the knees. Five pieces of his body were found buried in sand, but his right hand was not found.
The younger brother of the deceased, Masud Hossain, says that a case has also been going on for many years regarding their land in the Baikdia area. Zakir used to look after those cases.
His brother suspects that Zakir was killed by his 'hired men', who were against the cases.
