Petrol bomb hurled at Dhamrai Grameen Bank branch
Officer-in-charge (OC) of Dhamrai Police Station, Monirul Islam, told The Business Standard that the fire on the roof of a shop next to the bank was put out by locals and police inspected the scene.
Two unidentified miscreants hurled a petrol bomb at the Grameen Bank branch in Suapur Union of Dhamrai Upazila today (19 November), causing a fire that damaged the roof of a nearby shop.
The incident occurred around 4:30am in Suapur Bazar of the Union. The bank operates on the second floor of a two-storey building in the market.

He added that there are six Grameen Bank branches in the Dhamrai area, five of which are in rented buildings. Local watchmen are deployed for security and police maintain supervision.
According to police and witnesses, CCTV footage shows the two men on a motorcycle throwing a petrol bomb at the bank. The bomb hit the wall and fell onto the roof of a nearby tin-shed room, causing the fire.
Watchman Md Selim Mia said he saw the fire after hearing a loud noise and alerted nearby people, who quickly extinguished it.
However, no casualties were reported in the incident.
No immediate comment was available from the bank authorities.
