Man arrested for reportedly killing sister-in-law when she tried to stop him from using drugs
The accused attacked the victim after she asked him to refrain from drug use, reminding him that guests would be arriving for Eid

A man has been arrested after fatally stabbing his younger brother's wife in Teknaf after she tried to stop him from consuming drugs.
The arrestee is Ibrahim Prakash Lutia, son of Nagu Mia of East Moheshkhalia Para, Inspector Mozaherul Islam of the Hoaikyong police outpost confirmed to The Business Standard.
The victim, 35-year-old Jannat Ara, was killed at her home in Purba Maheshkhalia Para, Kharangkhali, Hoaikyong Union, this morning (2 April).
UP member Mohammad Alam said the accused, Ibrahim Prakash, stabbed Jannat Ara after she attempted to stop him from consuming drugs as he prepared to use them at his residence.
He said, "Jannat Ara, who was drying clothes in the yard, asked him to refrain from drug use, reminding him that guests would be arriving for Eid. In response, Lutia attacked her with a knife, leaving her critically injured. Later, she died from excessive bleeding."
Inspector Mozaherul Islam said police have recovered the body and sent it to Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital for an autopsy.
Ibrahim Prakash is now in police custody, he added.
