Jubo Dal expels Chattogram leader Badsha over extortion allegations

The central committee of the Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal has expelled Emdadul Hoque Badsha, former organising secretary of the now-defunct Chattogram Metropolitan Jubo Dal committee, from the organisation in response to allegations of extortion and land grabbing against him.
The decision, approved by Jubo Dal President Abdul Monayem Munna and General Secretary Mohammad Nurul Islam Noyon, was announced in a press release signed by the BNP youth wing's Office Secretary Nurul Islam Sohel today (12 July).
It said that the expulsion came following an investigation and recommendation from a probe committee formed by the organisation. Following the organisation's policy, Badsha's primary membership has been revoked, and he has been relieved from all levels of organisational responsibility.
"The organisation will not take responsibility for any misdeeds committed by expelled leaders," the statement added.
It also instructed Jubo Dal activists to sever all organisational ties with Badsha and refrain from engaging with him in any organisation-related activities.
Furthermore, Jubo Dal urged law enforcement agencies to take appropriate legal action if Badsha uses the organisation's name in any illegal activities in the future.
